Amund Christopher was born at Graue, Voss, Norway, March 20, 1828. He came to the United States in 1846, stayed a short while at Kashkonong, Wisconsin,and finally settled near Sun Prairie, Leeds Township, Columbia County, Wisconsin. He moved to High Lake Township; Emmet County, Iowa, in 1866, where he stayed until he went to Medina, North Dakota, in 1903. He died there in 1907. He is buried at Medina, North Dakota.
The· first wife of Amund Christopher was Britta (Betsy) Johnson, born in Moen, Voss, Norway, June 22, 1835, came to this country in 1840, and died December 24,1871. Children::
1) Martin Christopher, born April 10, 1854, in Leeds Township,
Columbia County, Wisconsin; died in Texas in 1899.
2) Lewis Christopher, born May 9, 1858 in Leeds Township, Columbia
Counnty, Wisconsin; died June 10, 1943, in Newton, Iowa.
3) Edward John Christopher, born September 25, 1866,-died April 5, 1901 in High Lake
Township, Emmet County, Iowa.
4) Ammon Oliver Christopher, born July 7, 1869, in High Lake
Township, Emmet County, Iowa, and died January 17, 1949, at Caldwell, Idaho.
The following family's children became Amund's second family:
Mr. Kitti1 Kittilson (Charles Charleson) was born in Numeda1, Norway.
He died in 1872 in a horse and wagon accident.. His wife, Kjestina Ingeborg (Ingeborg Chistina) Davis, was born in Numedal, Norway, on December. 14, 1841. She died on January 8, 1919.
Children born a t High Lake Township, Emmet County, Iowa.
1) Mary Ann Charleson, born April 16, 1865, died June 20, 1900.
2) Maren Guerina (Julia) Char1eson, born June 24, 1867. Died June 18, 1941.
3) John Davis Charleson, born October 1869. Died October 26, 1936.
4) Caroline Charleson, born March 3, 1872. Died July 20, 1959.
The second wife of Amund Christopher was Kjestina Ingeborg (Ingeborg Chistina) Davis Charleson: Children all born in Graettinger, Iowa.
1) Carl Christopher, born March 20, 1876. d. August 7, 1964
2) Britha Louise (Bessie) Christopher, born March 18, 1878; d..July 31, 1958.
3) George Christopher, born July 29, 1880; died January 28, 1904.
4) Oscar Christopher, born May 29, 1883, May 5, 1967.
When Amund lived in High Lake Township, Emmet County, Iowa, he had 4 children by his first marriage and 4 of Kjestina's children then they had 4 children of their own.
Carl's sister Bessie married Inga's brother Gustav Karl Olsen in Graettinger on Oct 5, 1898 before the Olsen's moved to Pequot in 1899. Carl came to Pequot just to marry Inga there in 1902.
and then they settled in Medina, North Dakota.

Amund moved to Medina in 1903, died and buried there in 1907. Kjestina Ingeborg lived with Alvin Olsen's family in Havre, Montana until she died in 1919. She is buried in the Christopher Plot in Medina, North Dakota along with her son George and her husband.
